Resistance 3 Shows Up (Oddly) On a Sony Survey

Resistance 3 survey

If — and probably when — Resistance 3 is eventually released, we’ll all be able to look back and reflect that it had one of the weirdest rollouts in gaming history. First the game was sort-of unofficially announced by way of an unauthorized photograph of a fake billboard on a movie set, and now a Sony survey asks gamers whether they think it even exists.

Joystiq picked up on the survey, and the couple of questions it asks about Resistance 3 are rather puzzling. First it asks, “Do you think that there is a future version of Resistance, Resistance 3, being developed?” — which almost seems like a questioned designed to measure how many news blogs gamers read rather than anything actually having to do with Resistance 3. The follow up question then asks how likely they’d be to purchase it, which is also odd considering the game is basically a forgone conclusion at this point anyway.

In addition to the fake billboard spotted last year, there was also a recent rumor that Sony may be announcing Resistance 3 along with Killzone 3 and Infamous 2 at E3 this year. So add up all the evidence thus far, and yes, Sony, we’d have to say we kind of do think there is a future version of Resistance being developed.
