If you were thinking about holding off on buying a PSP Go to see what impressions from others on launch day were, Sony has just added an incentive to pick one up as quickly as possible. Included in limited quantities of the PSP Go around the October 1 release date will be a voucher to redeem on PlayStation Network that will land you a copy of Rock Band Unplugged Lite. As the “Lite” implies to anyone familiar with the iPhone and iPod Touch App Store, Unplugged Lite is essentially a demo — and not a full version of the game, as was previously rumored — allowing you to play just five songs from the full version of the game.
North Americans will surely be hoping that Sony has something more in store than just a demo that wouldn’t feel out of place as a free demo on the PlayStation Store. After all, Europeans will be able to register their new PSPs shortly after launch for a free copy of Gran Turismo PSP — the full game. The two incentives are hardly equal, but Sony has plenty of time left to announce something more extravagant between now and October 1.
